Today, I wanted to figure out how to write 438 as a fraction. It seemed like it should be simple, but I wanted to make sure I did it right.
First, I thought, what even is a fraction? It’s just one number over another number, right? Like a part of a whole. But 438 is already a whole number, so how does that work?
Then it hit me! I can just put 438 over 1.
- I grabbed a piece of paper.
- I wrote down ‘438’.
- I drew a line underneath it.
- I wrote ‘1’ below the line.
