So, I finally got around to putting a tempered glass screen protector on my phone. I’d been putting it off, you know how it is, but after seeing a friend crack their screen, I figured it was time.
I went with a 9H tempered glass one, ’cause I heard those are pretty tough. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little nervous. I’m not exactly known for my delicate touch.
The Prep Work
First things first, I gathered my supplies:
- The tempered glass protector, obviously.
- The little cleaning kit that came with it (a wet wipe, a dry wipe, and some dust-absorbing stickers).
- My phone, all naked and vulnerable.
I cleaned my phone screen like my life depended on it. Seriously, any speck of dust can ruin the whole thing. I used the wet wipe, then the dry wipe, and then I went over it a few times with the dust-absorbing stickers. I even held it up to the light to make sure I hadn’t missed anything.
Putting It On
This was the tricky part. I peeled off the backing of the screen protector, trying not to get my fingerprints all over the sticky side. I carefully lined it up with my phone screen, starting at the top and working my way down. So hard!
I slowly lowered it onto the screen, trying to avoid any air bubbles. Of course, I got a couple, no matter how hard I tried. Luckily I use my credit card to gently push the air bubbles out to the edges. It took a few tries, but I finally got them all.
The Result
I stood back and admired my handiwork. It looked pretty good! The screen protector was practically invisible, and my phone felt much more secure. I kept poking it and testing, just to made sure if it work or not.
I even did a few “accidental” drops on the carpet, just to test it out. (Don’t tell anyone!)
So far, so good! I’m feeling pretty confident that my phone screen is now much better protected.
It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. Definitely worth the effort!
