Okay, so I’ve been thinking about upgrading my fitness tracker for a while now. I’ve had my old watch for ages, and it’s starting to show its age. Battery life is shot, and it doesn’t track half the stuff I want it to anymore. I’ve been eyeing the Garmin Venu series, specifically the 2S and 3S because I have tiny wrists. So, I decided to do a deep dive into the specs to see which one would be a better fit for me.
Digging into the Details
First, I pulled up the specs for both watches on my laptop. It was a bit overwhelming at first – so many numbers and features! I mainly focused on the things that matter most to me: battery life, display size, and the fitness tracking features.
- Battery Life: This is a big one for me. My old watch barely lasts a day, and it’s super annoying. The Venu 2S claimed up to 10 days in smartwatch mode, while the 3S boasted up to 10 days. Looked like pretty close.
- Display: I wanted something readable but not gigantic on my wrist. The 2S has a 1.1-inch display, and the 3S has a 1.2-inch display. I was worried that even a smidge bigger it’d be to big.
- Fitness Tracking: Both seemed to have all the basics covered – steps, heart rate, sleep tracking, etc. But the 3S had some extra stuff like more detailed sleep analysis and “Body Battery” energy monitoring. Sounded kinda neat!
Making My Decision
After comparing and thinking I started getting ready to make a decision. The improved display sounded really tempting. And, honestly, those extra health features on the 3S, like the more in-depth sleep tracking, seemed pretty cool. I’ve been trying to focus more on my overall well-being, not just my workouts.
I ended up pulling the trigger on the Garmin Venu 3S. It felt like the right balance of features and size, and I’m excited to start using it and see how it helps me reach my fitness goals!
