Okay, so I saw this headline, “this cannot be stressed enough nyt,” and I was like, what’s the big deal? I gotta figure this out.
Digging In
First, I tried to find original article on The New York Times, and figure out what is all about.
I started searching on the website, but I got a ton of results. It’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack, you know?
Getting My Hands Dirty
I started to narrow my search keywords, adding more words, changing some words, try and error.
It’s a slow process, but I’m stubborn. I kept refining, looking at the summaries, and trying different search terms. I was basically throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what stuck.
The “Aha!” Moment
After much searching, I find some clue, and I knew I was on the right track. I found the context for this headline. It’s a big deal, and I really need to be super careful.
I made sure to read everything twice, take notes, I even tried to summarize it in my own words to make sure I really understood.
Putting It All Together
I took a break, came back with fresh eyes, and re-read my notes. And then it was all make sense, that’s why “this cannot be stressed enough”.
So, yeah, that’s how I spent my day. A bit of a wild goose chase, but I got there in the end. And it just goes to show, sometimes you really do have to dig deep to get the full story.
