Okay, so I ran into this annoying issue with my “go movies” app the other day, and I figured I’d share my troubleshooting process. Maybe it’ll help someone else out there.
It all started when I sat down to watch a movie, picked one, hit play, and… nothing. Just a black screen. No error message, no loading spinner, just… nothing. My first thought was, “Okay, maybe it’s just this one movie.” So, I tried a different movie. Same problem.
Alright, something’s definitely up. My next move was the classic “turn it off and on again.” I closed the app completely and restarted it. Still nothing. Time to dig a little deeper.
I figured maybe it was an internet issue. So, I checked my Wi-Fi connection. Everything looked good there. I even ran a speed test just to be sure, and my speeds were normal. Not the internet, then.
Next, I thought maybe the app needed an update. So I go the way find where to check for updates. Nope, I was on the latest version. Okay, getting a little frustrated now.
I thought it to myself, “Is it my device issue?”. I restart my device. Nope, also not work.
Then I thought, “Maybe it’s my account?” I logged out of the app and then logged back in. Still no luck. Black screen of doom.
At this point, I was starting to think about uninstalling and reinstalling the app. It’s usually my last resort because it’s a bit of a hassle, but I was running out of ideas. So, I did it. I uninstalled the app, reinstalled it, and crossed my fingers.
And… IT WORKED! I finally got my movie playing. What a relief!
So, the moral of the story is, sometimes the most obvious solutions are the ones that work. If your “go movies” app isn’t working, try these steps, and hopefully, you’ll be back to movie night in no time!
