Okay, so I’ve been on the hunt for a good power bank for a while. My old one was, well, let’s just say it wasn’t cutting it anymore. Barely got a full phone charge out of it! So, I decided to go big or go home and try out one of these “light” 20000mAh power banks. I saw a bunch online and picked one that looked decent. The promise? Tons of power in a (supposedly) compact package.
First thing I did when it arrived was, obviously, rip open the box. Gotta love that new gadget smell! Then I checked it,it feels okay in hand. Not exactly “featherlight,” but definitely lighter than some of the bricks I’ve seen.
Charging It Up
Next step: getting this thing juiced up. It came with a little bit of charge, but I wanted to see how long it took to fill ‘er up completely. Plugged it into my regular wall charger, and…well, it took a while. Like, overnight-while-I’m-sleeping a while. We’re talking a good 8-10 hours, maybe even more. But hey, 20000mAh is a lot of juice, so I guess that’s expected.
I got an indicator, usually some little LED lights, it’s showing the power bank is full. It’s Show time.
Putting It to the Test
- Phone Test: First victim, my phone. My old one is always hungry for power. Plugged it in, and boom – fast charging kicked in! Nice. It took my phone from near-dead to 100% no problem, and the power bank still had plenty of juice left. I managed to fully charge my phone like, four or five times before the power bank itself needed a recharge. Not bad!
- Tablet Test: My tablet’s a bit of a power hog, too. I made sure the tablet to charged full, plugged it into the power bank. It charged it up just fine, though it did drain the power bank a bit faster than my phone did. Still, I got a couple of full tablet charges out of it, which is pretty impressive.
- Other Stuff: I even used it to charge my Bluetooth headphones and my smartwatch a few times. Worked like a charm. This thing is basically a portable power station!
Final Thoughts
So, after using this “light” 20000mAh power bank for a while, what do I think? Honestly, I’m pretty happy with it. It’s not super light, but it’s definitely manageable to carry around. And the amount of power it packs is awesome. No more worrying about my phone dying on me when I’m out and about. It takes its sweet time to charge up, but that’s a small price to pay for the convenience it * you’re looking for a power bank that can keep your devices going for days, one of these 20000mAh beasts is definitely worth checking out.
