Okay, so my Fitbit Charge 4 band broke. It was super annoying because, you know, I use this thing every day to track my steps and sleep and everything. It wasn’t that old either! So, instead of buying a whole new Fitbit, I thought, “I’ll just replace the band. It’ll be cheaper, right?”
First, I had to figure out which band I needed. Turns out, there are two sizes for the Charge 4 – small and large. I grabbed a measuring tape and checked my wrist size. I measured pretty close to the edge, that’s why I decided to double-check.
Finding Replacement Parts
- Checked my wrist size with a tape measure.
- Figured out whether I have a small or large.
Next, I had a look around the Internet for a new band,I wasn’t sure what they looked like. The official Fitbit ones were kind of pricey, So I tried to find some cheaper options. I read some reviews to make sure I wasn’t getting something that would just break again in a week.
The Hunt
I started looking around at some options. There were a ton of different colors and materials! Fabric, metal, even some fancy-looking leather ones. Eventually, I settled on a simple, basic silicone band – similar to the original one, but in a different color, just for fun.
Once I received it, to replace the band was a bit of a pain. There are these little tiny release catches on the Fitbit itself, where the band attaches. I pressed it, and wiggled the old band off. Honestly, I was a bit nervous I’d break something, but I took it slow and it finally popped off.
Putting the new band on was much easier. It just clicked right into place. And that was it! My Fitbit Charge 4 was back in action, with a brand new band, and I didn’t have to spend a fortune on a whole new device. Totally worth the effort!
