Okay, so today I decided to tackle the Spanish version of Wordle, you know, just to spice things up a bit. I’ve been doing the English one for a while now, and I figured, why not try it in another language? It’s supposed to be good for the brain, right?

First things first, I found a website that hosts the Spanish Wordle. It looked pretty much the same as the English version, just, you know, in Spanish.

I stared at the blank grid, and my mind went completely blank. I mean, I know some Spanish, mostly food-related words and basic greetings. “Hola,” “gracias,” “cerveza”… that kind of stuff. Not exactly Wordle-level vocabulary.

So, I took a wild guess. My first word was “SALTO” – I figured it’s a pretty common word, might get lucky. I hit enter, and… boom! I got Zero letters. Ugh, not a great start.

  • No green letters (meaning the letter is in the correct spot).
  • No yellow letters (meaning the letter is in the word, but not in the right spot).
  • Just a bunch of gray squares staring back at me.

Next, I thought, okay, let’s try something with vowels. I went with “AUDIO.” More vowels, more chances, right? Wrong again! Still, Zero letters at all.

By this point, I was starting to sweat a little. I mean, I didn’t want to use up all my guesses without getting at least one letter. I decided to consult a friend who is fluent in Spanish, and, thankfully, offered some strategic advice about common letter combinations and word structures in Spanish, It’s a lifesaver!.

I carefully selected a few more words, using their advice as my guide. I typed in the letters, held my breath, and hit enter. Finally. I got some yellow and green squares!

It took me a few more tries, shuffling letters around, trying different combinations, and finally, I cracked it! I solved the Spanish Wordle! It was the word “VECES”.

Final Thoughts

Honestly, it was way harder than I expected. But it was also a lot of fun, and I definitely learned a few new Spanish words along the way. I might even make this a regular thing. It’s like a workout for your brain, but way more entertaining than actual exercise.
