Okay, so I’ve had this Macbook Pro 15 inch from 2015, and I’ve been babying it like crazy. But, you know, life happens. I wanted to keep it looking good, so I decided to get a case.
The Search Begins
First, I checked some online stores. So many options! Hard shell, soft shell, sleeves… it was a bit overwhelming, honestly.
I narrowed it down to hard shell cases because I wanted something that would stay on all the time and offer constant protection. I’m clumsy, what can I say?
Picking the Right One
Then came the hard part – making sure I got the right size. I double-checked, then triple-checked my Macbook’s model number (it’s on the bottom, by the way). A1398, that’s the one!
- Looked for cases specifically for “Macbook Pro 15 2015” or “A1398”.
- Read a bunch of reviews. Some people complained about fit, others about the case cracking easily. It’s amazing what some use put these things through.
- Considered the color. I’m simple guy, ended up going with a plain, clear one so I could still see that Apple logo.
Putting It On
The case finally arrived! It came in two pieces – one for the top and one for the bottom. I cleaned my Macbook with a microfiber cloth first, to eliminate any dust or fingerprints getting trapped under there. I don’t want any scratches!
Snapping it on was pretty easy. It just clicked into place. I made sure all the edges were secure and that the little feet on the bottom were properly aligned.
The Result!
And that’s it! My Macbook Pro feels much more protected now. It’s not bulky, and I can still toss it in my bag without worrying (too much) about dings and scratches. Total win!
