Benefits of Wearing Fitbit and Watch: Get the Best of Both Worlds.

Okay, so I’ve been trying this thing where I wear both my Fitbit and a regular watch. Sounds kinda dumb, I know, but hear me out. I’ve always loved the look of a classic wristwatch, but I also really rely on my Fitbit to track my steps, sleep, and all that jazz. So, I thought, why not both?

The Initial Struggle

First off, figuring out which wrist to wear what on was a mini-crisis. Left wrist for the Fitbit, right for the watch? Vice versa? I ended up putting the Fitbit on my non-dominant wrist (left) since that’s what they recommend for accuracy. My watch went on my right.

It felt…weird. Like, really weird. I kept glancing at my wrists, feeling like I had way too much going on. And honestly, I was a little self-conscious about it. Like, would people think I was some kind of tech-obsessed weirdo?

Getting Used To It

  • Day 1-3: Total awkwardness. Kept bumping my wrists into things. Felt like everyone was staring.
  • Day 4-7: Started to get the hang of it. The weight difference was still noticeable, but less annoying.
  • Day 7+ : Actually…kind of forgot I was wearing both. It just became normal.

The biggest adjustment was probably just the bulk. I’m used to wearing a watch, but adding the Fitbit definitely made things feel heavier. I had to loosen the straps on both a bit to make it comfortable.

The Practical Side

Here’s the thing: It actually worked pretty well. I could easily check the time without having to activate the Fitbit screen (which, let’s be honest, can be a pain sometimes). And I still got all my fitness data, which was the whole point.

I also found that I was more mindful of my activity. Seeing the Fitbit there was a constant reminder to get up and move, even if I was just glancing at the time on my other watch.

The Verdict?

It’s been a few weeks now, and I’m still rocking the double-wrist look. It’s not for everyone, I get that. But for me, it’s a good compromise. I get the style I like with the functionality I need. I’m calling it a win. Might even try a different watch band to spice things up!
