Okay, so the other day I was trying to binge-watch some show on Paramount Plus, and bam! I hit a wall. It was this annoying “download limit reached” message. I was like, “Seriously? There’s a limit?” I honestly had no idea.
So, I started digging around. First, I checked the Paramount Plus app itself. I went into the settings, poked around the “Downloads” section, and nothing. No clear indication of how many downloads I had left or anything helpful.
Next step, naturally, was the internet. I googled “Paramount Plus download limit,” and that’s when I found out some stuff. Turns out, there IS a limit. I felt a little silly for not knowing, but hey, who reads all the fine print, right?
What I Found Out
- You can only have 25 downloads at a time per account. This includes all the devices you’re logged in to. Which is not per device! Big surprise, it is account limit.
- Downloads expire. Some videos expire after 30 days, others after only 48 hours. Super annoying.
- You gotta delete old downloads to make room. Seems obvious, but sometimes you forget what you’ve downloaded.
What I Did to Fix It
So, armed with this new information, I went back to the app. I went to my downloads section and started deleting stuff I’d already watched or didn’t plan to watch anytime soon. It was kind of a pain, going through each show and movie individually, but I did it.
After clearing out a bunch of old downloads, I tried downloading the episode I wanted again. And guess what? It worked! No more “download limit reached” message. Success!
It’s a little annoying that there’s a limit, and that the app isn’t super clear about it, but at least now I know. I’ll be more mindful of what I download and make sure to delete old stuff regularly.
It took me a while to fix it. Hope it won’t bother you.
