Best Quest 3 Facial Interface? See How AMVR Compares!

Okay, so I finally got my hands on the AMVR facial interface for my Quest 3. I’d heard good things, and honestly, the stock interface was starting to bug me, especially during longer play sessions. It just felt… kinda rough, you know?

So, first things first, I unboxed the thing. It came with a couple of different nose pieces, which was cool. I guess some folks have issues with light leakage, but I haven’t really noticed that much myself. Anyway, I popped off the original Quest 3 interface – it’s pretty easy, just gotta give it a little tug.

Installation Fun

  • Step 1: Remove old interface.
  • Step 2: Try to choose which nose pieces.
  • Step 3: Snap new interface on. Seriously, it just clicks right in.

Next, I snapped the AMVR one on. Super easy. It just clicked right into place. No tools, no fuss, nothing. I gotta say, the material felt way nicer against my skin right away. It’s this softer, almost fabric-like feel, instead of that hard plastic. Big improvement.

I jumped into a quick game of Beat Saber to test it out. Normally, after a few songs, I’d start to feel the pressure on my face, and it would get a little sweaty. But with the AMVR interface, it was noticeably more comfortable. I played for like an hour straight, and it didn’t bother me at all.

I also noticed that it seemed to distribute the weight of the headset a bit better. Maybe it’s just me, but it felt less front-heavy. Could be the different padding, I dunno. Whatever it is, I’m not complaining!

The only tiny, tiny gripe I have is that it might take a little getting used to the new feel. It’s definitely softer, but it also feels… different. Not bad, just different. After a few sessions, though, I totally forgot about it.

Overall, I’m super happy with this thing. If you’re finding the stock Quest 3 interface uncomfortable, I’d definitely recommend giving the AMVR one a try. It’s a pretty cheap upgrade, and it made a big difference for me.
