Limeade Battery Charger: Simple Ways to Get Fast Charging

Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this Limeade battery charger thing for a while now, and I figured I’d share my experience. It’s not rocket science, but there were a few bumps along the way.

Getting Started

>

First, I unboxed the thing. It came with the charger itself, a couple of different cables, and a tiny instruction manual that was pretty much useless. Seriously, the print was so small I needed a magnifying glass!

I plugged in the main power cable – that part was easy enough. It’s a standard plug, nothing fancy.

Figuring Out the Cables

This is where I got a little confused. There were two cables: one with a USB-C end and another with… well, I wasn’t entirely sure what it was. It looked like some kind of micro-USB, but a bit different. I tried plugging the USB-C into my phone, and…nothing. No charging light, no indication that anything was happening.

Then, I swapped it out for the other cable. Still nothing. I started to think maybe the charger was busted. I fiddled with the cables some more, making sure they were pushed in all the way. Still no luck.

The “Aha!” Moment

I almost gave up. Then, I noticed a tiny little switch on the side of the charger. It was so small, I’d completely missed it. I flipped the switch, and…BAM! The charging light on my phone lit up! It was the USB-C cable, after all. I felt like an idiot for not seeing that switch earlier.

Charging Time and Performance

Once I got it working, the charger was pretty decent. It’s not super-fast, but it definitely gets the job done. My phone went from about 20% to 80% in, like, an hour and a half, maybe? I didn’t time it exactly, but it was reasonable.

  • Pros: It works (eventually!). It’s compact and easy to carry around.
  • Cons: That tiny switch is a pain. The instructions are terrible.

Final Thoughts

Overall, it is good to get the Limeade battery charger working. It’s not the best charger I’ve ever used, but it’s not the worst, either. Just make sure you find that darn switch! My whole experience is shared and I hope that switch will not make you have a hard time.
