Okay, so I wanted to set up a home theater thing, and I figured a projector would be cool. I’d seen some stuff online about “WE WATCH” projectors, so I decided to give one a try. It wasn’t super expensive, so, you know, why not?
Getting Started
First, I unboxed the thing. It came with the projector, a power cable, a remote (no batteries, though – bummer!), and an HDMI cable. Pretty standard stuff. I found a blank wall in my living room – that was going to be my screen. I placed the projector on a coffee table, kind of eyeballing the distance to the wall. I wasn’t going for perfection at this point, just wanted to see if it worked.
Powering Up and Connecting
Next, I plugged in the power cable and hit the power button. The fan whirred to life, and a little light came on. So far, so good. I grabbed my laptop and connected it to the projector using the HDMI cable. I had to fiddle with the display settings on my laptop a bit to get it to mirror the screen onto the wall.
Focusing and Adjusting
Okay, picture time! But, it was blurry as heck. I messed around with the focus wheel on the projector – it took a little while to get it sharp. Then I realized the image was all crooked. I adjusted the little feet on the bottom of the projector to straighten things out. It wasn’t super precise, but I managed to get it looking decent.
Sound Check
Now the projector has speakers inside of it,I turned up the volume on both the projector and my laptop. I played a YouTube video, and… well, it worked. I plugged external speakers to the projector and the sound become better.
The Final Result
So, there you have it. I got the WE WATCH projector up and running. It’s not going to win any awards for picture quality, but for a quick and easy setup, it does the job. I can watch movies, play games, whatever. It’s like having a giant TV without the giant price tag.
