Okay, so the other day, my kids were going stir-crazy, and I needed something, anything, to keep them occupied. I remembered we had this “Eye Found It!” board game tucked away in the closet, but I couldn’t for the life of me remember how to play it. Classic, right?
So, first things first, I dug out the box. It was a bit dusty, which tells you how often we play board games these days. 😅
Finding the Instructions
I opened the box, and of course, the instructions weren’t just sitting right on top. Nope, that would be too easy! I had to rummage through all the game pieces – the giant board, the little character movers, the cards, everything. Finally, found them tucked underneath the plastic tray that holds everything.
Figuring Out the Game (Again)
Then came the fun part – actually reading the instructions. It’s not a super complicated game, but it had been a while! Basically, you’re all working together to get to the end of the board before the clock strikes midnight.
- You spin a spinner.
- Move your character.
- Then you flip over a card and everyone looks for the object on the giant game board.
It’s all about teamwork and finding things, which my kids actually enjoy, surprisingly.
Playing the Game (and Winning…Maybe)
We set up the board, picked our characters, and started playing. It was a bit chaotic at first, with everyone shouting out what they found, but we eventually got into a rhythm. My youngest is surprisingly good at spotting things! We didn’t technically win that first time (the clock got us!), but everyone had fun, and that’s the real victory, right?
So, yeah, that’s my recent adventure with the “Eye Found It!” board game. If you’re looking for a simple, cooperative game for younger kids, it’s a pretty good one to try out. Just make sure you keep those instructions somewhere handy! You can play with 1-4 players.
