So, I got this Lofree keyboard, right? Looks super cool, but the lights were driving me nuts, especially when I’m trying to work late at night. I needed to figure out how to turn off those darn lights.
First, I just started mashing buttons. You know, the usual suspects. The function keys, the escape key, everything. No luck. It was like a disco on my desk, and I was not invited.
Then, I thought, “Okay, be smart about this.” I grabbed the little manual that came with the keyboard. You know, the one you usually toss aside immediately? Yeah, that one. Skimmed through it… nothing. Lots of stuff about connecting via Bluetooth, but zero about the lights.
Time for the Internet!
I fired up Google, typed in something like “lofree keyboard turn off lighting,” and hoped for the best. I found some forum posts, some Reddit threads… lots of people with the same problem, but not a ton of clear answers.
I stumbled upon some suggestions to try some key combinations. It was like a secret code or something. People were mentioning things like Fn + F5, Fn + F6, and even Fn + arrow keys.
Okay, time to experiment. I started pressing keys:
- Fn + F5: Nope. The lights changed a bit, like different modes, but they were still ON.
- Fn + F6: Same thing. Just cycling through different light patterns. More frustration.
- Fn + Left/Right Arrows: Adjusting the brightness. At the very least,I can turn it down.
- Fn + Up/Down Arrows: Finally! This will decrease the brightness to the point of turning off the lights.
So that’s it! I can finally work in peace without that light show on my desk. I feel like I cracked some secret code. I just kept pressing Fn + Down Arrow untill the lights were completely turned off.
