Okay, so I saw this “fluid writing pen” thing trending and thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I’m always up for trying new stationery, even if it looks a little gimmicky.
Getting Started
First, I ordered one online. I just grabbed the first one that popped up with decent reviews, didn’t want to spend too much time on it. It arrived a couple of days later, nothing fancy, just a pen in a plastic bag.
The Experiment
I unpacked it and filled it with some regular ink I had lying around. The filling process was a little messy, I have to admit. It has this tiny little hole and you gotta use a syringe or a dropper. I spilled a bit, but no big deal.
- First impression: It felt kinda weird. Super light, and the nib is this long, thin, bent metal thing. Not like any pen I’ve used before.
- Testing it out: I grabbed a sheet of scrap paper and just started doodling. The ink flow was surprisingly smooth. It glides across the paper.
- Trying some cursive: This is where it gets interesting. Because of the bent nib, you can get some really thick and thin lines depending on the angle you hold it. It does take some getting used to, but the lines look kinda cool.
The Results
Honestly, it’s not bad! After playing around with it for an hour, I managed to get some pretty decent results. I even tried writing a few letters and it was a little bit *’s not going to replace my regular pens, but it’s fun to use for a change. It adds a different style to my notes. I also use this pen to create some art.
Would I recommend it? Sure, if you’re into trying new things and don’t mind a bit of a learning curve. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely an interesting writing experience.
