Okay, so I wanted to make a GIF of Richard Ramirez, you know, the “Night Stalker” guy. Don’t ask why, I just got caught up in some true crime stuff, and…well, here we are.
First, I needed some source material. I hit up a search engine, looking for images, short video clips, I was not picky.
Finding Source Material
- Started with basic image searches.
- Then I moved onto video clips.
I grabbed a bunch of images, anything that looked halfway decent. I also found a few short news clips that I thought might be interesting to use.
Making the GIF
Next, I chose an online GIF maker. I just searched and picked one randomly.
I uploaded the images and some clips.
I played around with the order of the images. I messed with the timing, making some frames faster and some slower to kind of create a creepy vibe. I was going for a simple, slightly unsettling animation effect.
I kept it pretty basic, no fancy transitions or anything. Just a straightforward sequence of images.
My GIF
After some trial and error, I finally ended up with something I was okay with. It wasn’t anything award-winning, but it was the GIF I wanted.
It was just a weird little project, and that’s all there is to it. Don’t read too much into it, okay? It’s just a GIF. I made it, I shared the process, and now we’re done.
