Okay, so I finally got around to getting a new case for my phone, and I went with the Speck Presidio. I’d heard good things, so I figured I’d give it a shot. Here’s how it went down:
The Hunt
First, I had to actually find the thing. I looked at a few online stores but ended up grabbing it from a physical store. I just wanted to see it in person before committing, you know?
Unboxing and First Impressions
Got it home, ripped open the package – pretty standard stuff. The case itself looked pretty sleek, not too bulky, which is a big plus for me. I hate those cases that make your phone feel like a brick.
Putting it On
This was the moment of truth. Sometimes cases are a real pain to get on, like you’re wrestling an alligator. Thankfully, this one snapped on pretty easily. It’s a snug fit, though, so it definitely feels secure.
Living With It
- The Grip: It’s got this grippy texture, which is great. My old case was super slippery, and I was always worried about dropping my phone. This one feels much more secure in my hand.
- The Buttons: The buttons are nice and clicky, easy to press. No problems there.
- The Look: I went with the plain black one, and it looks pretty sharp. It’s not flashy, but it’s definitely not ugly.
- The Drop Test (Unintentional): Okay, I’ll admit it – I dropped my phone. Not from, like, a rooftop or anything, but it slipped out of my hand onto the kitchen floor. The case did its job! Phone’s totally fine.
Final Thoughts
So far, so good! I’m really liking this Speck Presidio case. It feels protective without being too bulky, and it looks good. It’s passed the (unintentional) drop test, which is the most important thing. If you’re looking for a new case, I’d say it’s worth checking out. I’ve only been using it a little while, I hope in the long term, It will not get yellow.
