Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get into this whole “polar vision” thing for a while now. It sounds kinda cool, right? Like seeing the world in a whole new way. So, I finally decided to take the plunge and make my own polar vision glasses. Let me tell you, it was a bit of an adventure!

Finding the Stuff

First things first, I needed to gather my materials. This was probably the hardest part, honestly. I mean, where do you even find the stuff to make these things?

  • Polarizing Film:This was the key ingredient.I ordered that was advertised for “science experiments” or something.
  • Old Sunglasses: I had a super cheap pair .
  • Some Tools: I grabbed some scissors, a marker, and some tape just in case.

The Messy Part

Next up, the actual crafting. I started by carefully taking the old * was a bit fiddly. I had to be extra careful not to break anything!

Then, I used one of the popped-out lenses as a template to trace the shape onto the polarizing film. I did this twice, of course, because you need two lenses. Gotta see with both eyes, you know?

Cutting out the film was…interesting. It’s kinda slippery stuff, so my circles weren’t exactly perfect. But hey, close enough, right?

Putting It All Together

Now for the moment of truth. I carefully placed the cut-out film pieces into the empty sunglass frames. It took a little bit of wiggling to get them to sit right, but eventually, they fit snugly enough.

It’s Done!

I put on my newly crafted polar vision glasses and… wow! Everything looked… different. It’s hard to describe, but the light was definitely doing some funky things. Reflections were way more intense, and the sky had this weird, almost metallic sheen to it.

Honestly, it’s not something I’d wear all the time. It’s more of a novelty thing, a fun little experiment. But it was definitely cool to see how it all worked, and I’m pretty proud of my janky little creation!
