Okay, so, my Fitbit Luxe’s screen went totally black. Blank. Nothing. I was like, “Seriously?” I mean, I use this thing every day to track my steps, sleep, everything. First thing I did was, naturally, I pressed the button on the side. Nothing happened. Pressed it again, held it down… still nothing. Total blackout.
Then I thought, “Maybe it’s just dead.” So I plugged it into the charger. Usually, you see that little battery icon pop up, right? Nope. Still blank. I left it charging for a good while, thinking maybe it was just really drained. Came back, checked it – and still nothing. Getting a little worried at this point, I can tell you.
Troubleshooting Time
So, I started tapping the screen, pretty hard. I know, probably not the best idea, but I was getting desperate. Then I remembered reading something online about a restart. So this is what I did:
- I made sure it was still connected to the charger.
- I found that little button on the flat end of the charger – the part that connects to the USB.
- I pressed that button three times, waiting like a second or two between each press. It’s kinda fiddly, gotta make sure you’re pressing it right.
And guess what? The Fitbit logo popped up! I almost cheered. I let it finish booting up, and boom, the screen was back to normal, showing my steps and everything. It was such a relief.
After That, I detached it from the charger and observed for couple of hours to make sure it is working correctly.
So yeah, that’s how I fixed my Fitbit Luxe screen. Total panic at first, but the three-button press on the charger did the trick. Hope this helps someone else out there!
