Okay, so the other day I noticed the temperature reading on my Nanit baby monitor was totally off. It was, like, way cooler in the nursery than the monitor was showing. This was a problem, obviously, because I need to make sure my little one is comfy and safe.
First thing I did? I checked the Nanit app to see if there were any alerts or messages. Nothing. Super unhelpful.
Then, I went straight to the monitor itself. I made sure it was positioned correctly – not too close to a window or a vent, or anything that could mess with the reading.
Next up, I tried the classic “turn it off and on again” trick. I unplugged the Nanit from the wall, waited a few minutes, and then plugged it back in. Still no luck. The temperature was still way off.
Feeling a bit frustrated, I decided to dig a little deeper. I remembered that sometimes dust can mess with sensors, so I grabbed a soft, dry cloth and gently wiped down the Nanit, especially around the temperature sensor area.
Still nothing! Ugh. I even check the room with other thermometer. Nanit still get it wrong!
Finally,I give it up. I think my Nanit is broken. I contact the customer service for help. I think I have no choice but wait unit they reply.
