Okay, so you know how I’m always messing around with my phone and trying to find the perfect setup? Well, this time I went down the rabbit hole of finding the ultimate wallet case for my iPhone 15 Pro Max that also plays nice with MagSafe. Let me tell you, it was a journey.
First off, I hit up Amazon, like you do. I saw a ton of options, all claiming to be “the best” or “premium leather” or whatever. I read a bunch of reviews, which were all over the place. Some people loved them, some hated them. It was tough to get a real sense of what was actually good.
I ended up ordering three different cases. Yeah, three. Don’t judge me. One was a cheapo one that looked decent in the pictures. One was a “genuine leather” one that cost a bit more. And the last one was a “hybrid” case, with a hard shell and a wallet flap.
The cheapo one? Total garbage. The magnet was weak, the “leather” felt like plastic, and it was just bulky. Immediate return.
The “genuine leather” one was better, but still not great. The leather felt okay, but the stitching was kinda sloppy. And the wallet part was too tight. I could barely fit two cards in there. Plus, the MagSafe didn’t really work. It would kind of attach to my charger, but it wasn’t strong enough to hold the phone reliably. Another return.
The hybrid case was the most promising. It had a strong magnet, the wallet held a decent amount of cards, and the case itself felt pretty protective. But… it was HUGE. Like, seriously huge. Turns out, he had a case from a brand I’d never heard of, called “Kalon”. I checked out their website, and their cases looked really well-made. They were pricier than the ones I’d found on Amazon, but I figured, what the heck? I’d already wasted money on three other cases.
I ordered their “MagSafe Leather Wallet Case” in brown. When it arrived, I was immediately impressed. The leather felt amazing, the stitching was perfect, and the magnet was super strong. It fit my iPhone perfectly, and the wallet part held three cards comfortably without feeling bulky.
I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I’m really happy with it. The MagSafe works great with my charger and my car mount. The leather is starting to develop a nice patina. And it just looks and feels like a quality product.
