My Experience with the TOZO X1
Okay, so I got my hands on these TOZO X1 earbuds a little while back. Heard some chatter, figured I’d give them a try myself, see what the fuss was about, or if there was any fuss at all.
Getting Started
The package arrived, nothing fancy. Just a small box. Opened it up. Inside, you get the usual stuff:
- The earbuds themselves, nestled in their charging case.
- A few different sizes of those silicone ear tip things.
- A tiny USB-C cable for charging.
- Some paper bits, instructions and whatnot. Tossed those aside mostly.
First thing, I plugged the case in to make sure it had some juice. The little lights came on, so that was working fine.
Pairing and Fit
After charging for a bit, I popped open the case near my phone. Went into my phone’s Bluetooth settings. Saw “TOZO X1” pop up pretty quick. Tapped on it. Connected. No drama there, which is always good. Some gadgets you fight with, this was easy.
Then, putting them in my ears. The tips already on them felt okay, but maybe a little loose? I hate when earbuds feel like they’ll fall out. Swapped them for a slightly smaller size from the little baggie. Pushed them in gently. Much better. Felt snug, didn’t feel like they’d escape if I moved my head.
Using Them Day-to-Day
Alright, time to actually listen. Fired up some music I know well. The sound? It’s decent. Look, these aren’t going to win awards from serious audio people, you know? But for just listening to tunes while walking around, or podcasts while doing chores, they’re perfectly fine. Vocals were clear. Bass was present, not overpowering, not completely absent either. Just… balanced, I guess?
Used them for a phone call too. Pulled them out, put them in, answered the call. The person on the other end said they could hear me okay. Maybe a little background noise, but understandable. I could hear them clearly. So, calls work.
The touch controls on the sides… well, they work. Tap once to pause/play. Double tap for next track. Stuff like that. Took a minute to get the hang of where exactly to tap. Sometimes I’d miss or do the wrong number of taps. A bit fiddly, but manageable once you get used to it.
Battery life seemed pretty standard. Used them on and off for a good few hours before the little voice said “battery low”. Popped them back into the case. The case itself holds a few extra charges, so I wasn’t running for the cable immediately. Charged the case every few days, depending on use.
Final Thoughts
So, the TOZO X1. Did they change my life? Nope. Are they terrible? Definitely not. They’re just a solid pair of basic wireless earbuds. Easy to set up, comfortable enough once you find the right tips, sound is okay for the price, and the battery gets you through the day.
They do what they’re supposed to do without much fuss. If you need something simple that works for everyday listening and calls, these are worth looking at. Just managed expectations, you know? They get the job done.
