Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this setup, trying to get TiviMate and Kodi to play nice together on my Android TV box. It’s been a bit of a journey, so I figured I’d share my experience in case anyone else is trying to do the same thing.
First off, I got TiviMate on my device. I downloaded the app from the official website. I just typed in the website address into my browser, hit download, and waited for the file to finish.
Next, I needed to get my IPTV playlist sorted. My IPTV provider gave me this M3U link, which is basically the key to all my channels. I opened up TiviMate, found the playlist settings, and pasted that link in there. Easy peasy.
Now, here’s where I wanted to bring Kodi into the mix. My idea was to use TiviMate as the front-end for browsing channels and then have Kodi handle the actual playback. Seemed like a good plan, right? But, when I tried to use the “play with external player” option in TiviMate, Kodi wasn’t showing up in the list. That threw me off a bit.
- I double-checked if Kodi was properly installed, and it was.
- I even restarted the whole system, hoping that would magically fix things.
- No luck.
I spent some time digging around online, reading through forums and guides. It seems like getting TiviMate and Kodi to work together isn’t as straightforward as I thought. There’s a bunch of technical stuff about Android intents and player configurations that I’m still trying to wrap my head around.
It’s Still a Work in Progress
So, I haven’t completely figured it out yet. I might need to tweak some settings in Kodi or maybe even try a different version of TiviMate. It’s a bit frustrating, but I’m not giving up. I’ll keep messing with it and see if I can crack the code.
Anyway, that’s my story so far. If anyone out there has successfully gotten TiviMate and Kodi to work together, please share your secrets! I’m all ears. And if you’re in the same boat as me, well, at least you know you’re not alone. We’ll figure this out eventually!
