I was multitasking, no problem, a bunch of Safari tabs open, my writing app, music playing in the background. But then I started noticing some slowdowns. If you are planning to use Photoshop, I don’t think 8GB is enough.

My conclusion
- For basic stuff, like browsing, emails, and documents, 8GB is probably fine.
- If you’re doing anything more intensive, like photo editing, or if you want to future-proof your machine, 16GB is the way to go. I mean, someone told me that 8GB is fine for basic multitasking, but I doubt it.
- And if you’re a power user, well, you probably already know you need more than 8GB.
