Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this thing called a “protector easy screen.” Sounds fancy, right? Well, it’s just a screen protector for your TV. I got one because my little nephew likes to throw things, and I really don’t want my new TV to get smashed.
First, I got the box and opened it up. There’s the screen protector itself, which is just a big piece of clear plastic, a little cloth, and some weird sticky tabs. I guess those are important.
Then, I had to clean my TV screen. I used a microfiber cloth and some screen cleaner spray. Got to get all those fingerprints and dust off. You don’t want that stuff getting trapped under the protector.
Next came the tricky part. I peeled the backing off the screen protector, trying not to get my own fingerprints all over it. It’s kinda like putting a giant sticker on your TV. I lined it up real careful with the edges of the screen and then slowly started pressing it down from the top.
- I used the little cloth that came with it to smooth out any bubbles as I went. That part was actually kinda satisfying.
- It’s a bit of a pain, but you just gotta take your time and make sure you don’t trap any air bubbles.
Once it was all on, I used those sticky tabs to hold it in place. Seemed a little overkill, but I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Finally, I stepped back and admired my work. It’s practically invisible! And now I don’t have to panic every time my nephew comes over with a toy in his hand.
I read somewhere that you should let it rest for like 8 to 12 hours, but honestly, who’s got time for that? I turned on the TV right away and it looked fine. No problems so far.
Overall, I’d say it was a pretty easy process. It only took me like 20 minutes, and now I feel a lot better about the safety of my TV.
My Rating
I give this protector easy screen thing a solid thumbs up. Easy to install, does what it’s supposed to do, and gives me some peace of mind. If you got kids or clumsy pets, I’d definitely recommend getting one.
