Alright, so, I had this little project in mind. I wanted to find out about the landline telephone companies that are still kicking around in Rogue River. You know, it’s not something you think about every day, but I got curious. Are landlines even a thing anymore?
So, I started to do some digging. The first thing I did was a simple search to see what’s out there. Turns out, there are still a few companies offering old-school landline services. I found that there are mainly three: CenturyLink, Comcast Xfinity, and Cox. Yeah, those names sound familiar, right? They’re not just about internet and TV; they’re still in the landline game.
Getting Down to Details
After I found those names, I went a bit deeper. I wanted to see what the deal was with each of them in Rogue River specifically. I mean, it’s one thing to offer services, but another to actually be available in a specific area.
- CenturyLink: I checked them out first. Their website had a service availability checker. Put in a Rogue River address, and bam, it said they offered landline service there. Pretty straightforward.
- Comcast Xfinity: These guys were next. Their site was a bit more cluttered, but I managed to find a similar checker. Typed in the address, and sure enough, they offer landline services in Rogue River too.
- Cox: Last but not least. Found their availability tool, did the same thing, and yep, they’re in Rogue River as well.
Wrapping It Up
So, after all that poking around, I realized that landlines are still alive and well in Rogue River. CenturyLink, Comcast Xfinity, and Cox are all offering services there. It’s kind of interesting, isn’t it? In a world full of cell phones and internet calls, these old-school phone lines are still hanging in there. I guess it makes sense, especially in places where the cell signal might not be the best, or for folks who just like the reliability of a good old-fashioned landline. And it seems like it’ll still be around for a while, at least until 2027, which was the original plan for 2025. But the plan was changed to phase out its legacy copper network until the end of Jan 2027.
That’s my little adventure in the world of Rogue River landlines. Who knew it could be so interesting, right?
