Okay, here’s my sharing today about pairing my Bose Portable Smart Speaker.
So, I just got this Bose Portable Smart Speaker, pretty cool, right? I was eager to try to connect it to my phone and listen to my favorite music and my first step was to turn on the speaker, I pressed the power button on the top. The light ring pulsed white. You know, sometimes these smart devices can be a bit of a pain to set up, but I was determined to get this working smoothly.
Download the App
First things first, I needed the Bose Music app. I grabbed my phone, opened the app store, and searched for “Bose Music.” Found it, downloaded it, and installed it. Easy peasy.
Add the Speaker
Once the app was installed, I opened it up. The app immediately started searching for devices. Since this was my first time using the app with this speaker, I had to add it as a new product. I tapped the “+” button to add a new device. The app then walked me through a few steps.
Connect to Wi-Fi
Next up, Wi-Fi. The app prompted me to connect the speaker to my home Wi-Fi network. I selected my network from the list and entered my password. It took a minute or two, but the speaker successfully connected. The light ring turned solid white, which I guessed meant it was connected.
Bluetooth Pairing
Now, for Bluetooth. I pressed and held the Bluetooth button on the speaker until the light ring glowed blue. On my phone, I went to the Bluetooth settings and selected the Bose speaker from the list of available devices. And bam, it paired. Simple as that.
Voice Assistant
I decided to set up a voice assistant. The Bose app gave me the option to choose between Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. I use Google Assistant for most of my smart home stuff, so I picked that. I followed the prompts to link my Google account and configured the settings.
Finalizing Setup
After setting up the voice assistant, the app asked if I wanted to customize some other settings, like EQ and stuff. I played around with it a bit, but mostly stuck with the default settings for now.
- Turned on the speaker
- Downloaded and installed the Bose Music app
- Added the speaker in the app
- Connected the speaker to Wi-Fi
- Paired the speaker via Bluetooth
- Set up Google Assistant
- Adjusted some settings
Finally, I tested it out by asking Google Assistant to play some music, and it worked like a charm. Music filled the room, and it sounded fantastic. This little speaker really packs a punch! I spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying my new Bose Portable Smart Speaker, playing all my favorite tunes and messing around with the voice commands. Pretty neat, if I do say so myself.
