So, I finally got my hands on the iPhone 13 Pro Max. The thing is huge! I’ve been using an iPhone X for years now, and I was really curious to see just how much bigger the new one is. I mean, I knew it was bigger, but seeing them side-by-side is something else.
The first thing I did was put them next to each other. The 13 Pro Max just dwarfs the X. It’s taller, wider, and even a bit thicker. The screen difference is wild. The 13 Pro Max has this massive 6.7-inch display, while my old X has a 5.8-inch screen. It feels like going from a regular TV to one of those cinema screens.
Then I tried holding them both. The 13 Pro Max is definitely heavier. It’s not uncomfortable, but you can feel the difference, especially if you’re used to a smaller phone like me. I started to think that I needed to change the way I was holding my phone all the time. After all, I didn’t want to accidentally drop it.
I spent some time playing around with the 13 Pro Max. It took me a while, but I found out that it’s not that much harder to use one-handed, even with the bigger size. Apple did a good job with the software to make it manageable. But yeah, there are times when I still have to use both hands, especially to reach the top corners.
Some Details
I decided to list a few specifics. Just simple things. You know, I’m no expert.
- Size: The 13 Pro Max is noticeably larger in every dimension.
- Weight: The 13 Pro Max is heavier, no doubt about it.
- Screen: The 13 Pro Max’s display is amazing. Much bigger and brighter.
- One-handed use: It’s doable on the 13 Pro Max, but two hands are sometimes necessary.
After using the 13 Pro Max for a while, I can say that I am getting used to the size. It’s a beast of a phone, and the huge screen is awesome for watching videos and playing games. My old iPhone X feels tiny now! It’s quite funny because I used to think it had the perfect size.
Oh, and one more thing! I was using some old lightning cables, and some of them were a bit frayed. I was thinking about picking up a new one.
Switching from the iPhone X to the 13 Pro Max is a big jump, size-wise. I also think that I will need some time to explore all the new features it has. It’s an adjustment, for sure, but so far, I’m loving the giant screen and the overall feel of the phone. I guess that big phones have their advantages, huh?
