Okay, so I’ve been trying to get my life together, and I figured a digital planner could really help me out. I use an iPad for a lot of stuff, so I wanted something that would work well with it. I’d heard good things about Goodnotes, so I decided to look for a 2024 planner that I could use with that app. And, hey, free is always a plus, right?

First, I started checking out a bunch of websites. It was kind of overwhelming, to be honest. There are so many options out there, and I was feeling a bit picky. I wanted something that was clean, not too cluttered, and had sections for both monthly and weekly planning. I looked at some, but many didn’t really work for me.

I kept searching, then I hit a few that looked promising. They had different layouts and color schemes, so I downloaded a couple of them to try out.

  • Downloading was easy – just a simple click, and it was on my iPad.
  • Importing into Goodnotes was a breeze too. I just opened the app, tapped the “New…” button, and then “Import”. Selected the file from my downloads, and boom, there it was.

I played around with both planners for a few days. I tried adding appointments, to-do lists, and just some general notes. I wanted to see how it felt to actually use them, you know?

One of them was pretty good. It had a nice monthly overview, and the weekly pages had enough space for me to write down everything I needed. Plus, I could add stickers and highlight stuff, which was kind of fun.

The other one, not so much. It looked nice, but it was a bit too complicated for me. Too many sections, and it felt kind of cramped on the screen.

So, I decided to stick with the first one. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now, and it’s been really helpful. I can keep track of my appointments, deadlines, and all that jazz. It’s nice to have everything in one place, and it’s actually kind of satisfying to check things off my to-do list.

I think finding a digital planner is really about trial and error. You gotta find one that fits your style and how you like to organize things. But it’s definitely worth the effort. It’s made me feel a lot more on top of things, and it’s saved me from missing a few important deadlines already.

If you’re thinking about getting a digital planner, I’d say go for it. There are a ton of free options, so you don’t have to spend any money to try it out. Just be prepared to do a little searching to find the perfect one for you!
