Alright, let’s talk about this 2017 13-inch MacBook Pro case I’ve been trying out. So, I got this MacBook a while back, and you know how it is, you want to keep it safe and sound, right?
I started looking around for a case. I mean, there are tons of them out there, all kinds of styles and materials. But I needed something that wouldn’t be a pain to use daily. I didn’t want some bulky thing that would make my sleek MacBook feel like a brick.
After checking out a bunch of reviews and stuff, I found this one case that seemed pretty decent. It’s called the “ProCase” or something like that. What got my attention was that it said it was “shockproof” and had this “bumper” thing around the edges. I figured, hey, that sounds like it could handle a few accidental bumps.
I got my hands on it, and I went to put it on my MacBook. It’s a two-piece thing, one for the top and one for the bottom. The plastic felt pretty solid, not that cheap, flimsy stuff. It snapped on pretty easily, and once it was on, it fit like a glove. The bottom piece has these little rubber feet, which is a nice touch. Keeps it from sliding around on my desk. It also has these vents cut out, so I guess that helps with keeping the laptop cool.
So, I used this case for a while, carrying my MacBook around in my backpack, using it at coffee shops, the usual stuff. And you know what? It actually held up pretty well. I did accidentally knock my backpack against a table once, and my heart skipped a beat. But when I checked, the MacBook was totally fine. Not even a scratch. Phew!
Here’s the thing:
- It’s not super bulky, which I like. It adds a little bit of thickness, but it’s not a huge deal.
- It feels pretty sturdy. I’m not saying you should throw your laptop down the stairs, but it feels like it can handle everyday bumps and scratches.
- The ports are all accessible. I can plug in my charger and headphones without taking the case off, which is pretty important.
- I have also tested another brand called “GVTECH”, it’s a clear case, I have to say both are good. I’m happy with it. It’s doing its job, and my MacBook is still in one piece.
There was another one I saw, called “Fintie” or something, that looked pretty good for older models. But I ended up going with this one, it looked fine. I wanted something that would protect the ports too. This one seems to do the trick.
Final thoughts?
If you’re looking for a case for your 2017 13-inch MacBook Pro, I’d say give this one a shot. It’s a solid choice, especially if you’re clumsy like me. It’s not gonna make your MacBook indestructible, but it’ll definitely give you some peace of mind.
