Recently, I found that I need to handle some 3D model printing stuff, and I heard that Bambu Studio is a good slicing software, so I thought, why not try it out?
First, I went to the official website of Bambu Lab. After browsing a bit, I quickly found the download page for Bambu Studio. I downloaded and installed it on my computer, and it ran pretty smoothly. I just logged in with my Bambu Lab account. The interface is quite intuitive, and it’s designed to be very user-friendly.
Then, I thought, it would be so convenient if I could use this software on my iPad. It would be much easier for me to do some simple editing and fixing of the models. I did some research online, searched for something like “Bambu Studio for iPad”. There were many people asking the same question, and the results weren’t very optimistic. It seems that there’s no official iPad version of Bambu Studio currently.
I saw some discussions where people mentioned designing on iPad using an app called Shapr3D. They usually send the file to their email and then print it from a PC, which is a bit of a hassle. I tried to download Shapr3D to my iPad and play around with it. It’s a pretty powerful 3D modeling app, but it’s not exactly what I’m looking for.
Although I couldn’t find an iPad version, I continued to explore Bambu Studio on my computer. I imported a model I wanted to print and started fiddling with the settings. I found that Bambu Studio is based on PrusaSlicer, which is pretty cool. And it contains a lot of workflows and algorithms.
I found that if your printer is linked to your Bambu cloud account, you can send files to print remotely. That’s a handy feature. I haven’t fully explored all the functions yet, but I did come across some guides on their website, like the “Bambu Studio Toolbar” and “Print Settings Setting Guide”. They’re quite helpful for beginners.
My main takeaway from this little adventure is that while Bambu Studio is a powerful tool for 3D printing enthusiasts, it’s currently not available for iPad.
- I started by downloading and installing Bambu Studio on my computer.
- I tried searching for an iPad version but couldn’t find one.
- I briefly explored the Shapr3D app on my iPad as an alternative.
- I learned a bit more about Bambu Studio’s features and settings on my computer.
I guess I’ll have to stick to using it on my computer for now. Maybe someday they’ll release an iPad version, which would be awesome!
So, that’s my experience with Bambu Studio and my quest for an iPad version. It’s been an interesting journey, and I’m still learning new things about 3D printing every day.
