Today I’m going to talk about putting a privacy screen protector on my new iPhone 15 Plus. I just got this phone, and the first thing on my mind was to protect that big, beautiful screen. Plus, I’m not a fan of people peeking at my phone, so a privacy screen protector seemed like a good idea.
I started by searching online for a good privacy screen protector. There are tons of options out there, but I wanted something that was known to be good and wouldn’t mess up the touch sensitivity. I saw a few brands like SPARIN, ZAGG, Ailun, and Inskin, but finally, I went with a SPARIN one that came in a 2+2 pack – that’s two screen protectors and two camera lens protectors. Seemed like a good deal, especially since it mentioned “free return.”
When the package arrived, I was pretty eager to get it on my phone. The SPARIN pack included the protectors, some wipes, a dust absorber sticker, and a guide frame. First, I cleaned my phone’s screen with the wet wipe, then used the dry one to make sure it was spotless. That dust absorber sticker was handy for picking up any tiny specks.
- Cleaned the phone screen thoroughly.
- Used the provided frame for alignment.
- Carefully placed the protector on the screen.
- Pushed out the air bubbles.
Next, I used the alignment frame. It’s this plastic thing that helps you put the protector on straight. I placed the frame on my phone, then carefully laid down the screen protector. I had to be slow and steady to avoid trapping air bubbles. Once it was on, I used a small card (like a credit card, but I used an old gift card) to push out any bubbles that did get trapped. It took a few minutes, but I got most of them out.
After that, I put on the camera lens protector. It was much smaller, obviously, but the process was pretty similar. Cleaned the lenses, used the frame, and stuck it on. This one was easier since it was smaller and less prone to bubbles.
With both protectors on, I turned on my phone to check it out. The screen looked a bit darker from the sides, which is what I wanted – that’s the privacy part working. Straight on, it was clear as day. I tried out the touch screen, and it worked just as well as before. No issues there. The camera also seemed to work fine, no weird distortions or anything.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It wasn’t too hard to do, though you do need a bit of patience to get the bubbles out. Now I feel a bit better about using my phone in public, knowing that it’s a little harder for someone to snoop on my screen. Plus, it’s protected from scratches, which is always a good thing. I would like to say that if you are getting a new phone, especially something as nice as the iPhone 15 Plus, consider getting a screen protector – privacy or not. It’s a small investment to protect your big one! That is all my share.
