Alright, so I just got my hands on a new iPhone 12, and the first thing on my mind was protecting that gorgeous screen. I mean, who wants scratches on their brand-new phone, right? So, I went ahead and ordered a screen protector online. It arrived in a couple of days, and I was pretty excited to put it on.
Unboxing and Prep
The package came with the screen protector, a little microfiber cloth, a dust removal sticker, and an alcohol wipe. First things first, I cleaned my hands thoroughly. You don’t want any dirt or oil messing things up.
- Wiped down the phone screen with the alcohol wipe.
- Used the microfiber cloth to dry it off and make sure there was no lint.
- Grabbed that dust removal sticker and dabbed it all over the screen to pick up any tiny dust particles. It’s kinda like using tape to pick up glitter.
Putting It On
This was the tricky part. I peeled off the backing of the screen protector, being careful not to touch the sticky side. Then, I carefully lined it up with the phone’s screen. I started from the top, making sure the cutouts for the speaker and camera were aligned. Slowly, I lowered it down, trying to avoid any air bubbles.
Of course, a few bubbles did appear. I used the microfiber cloth to gently push them out towards the edges. It took a bit of effort, but I managed to get most of them out. There were a couple of stubborn ones, but they were tiny, and I figured they’d disappear over time.
The Result
Once the screen protector was on, I gave the phone a good look. It looked pretty good! The protector was barely noticeable, and the touch sensitivity didn’t seem to be affected at all. I swiped and tapped around, and everything felt smooth.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It wasn’t too hard to put on, and now I feel a lot better knowing my phone’s screen has an extra layer of protection. It’s like a little insurance policy for your phone, you know? Definitely worth the few bucks and the bit of effort.
