Okay, so I’ve been eyeing the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Moment for a while. It’s just so sleek and, you know, fancy. I finally decided to take the plunge and get one. It wasn’t cheap, but hey, treat yourself, right?
The unboxing was an experience in itself. Everything was so carefully packaged, it felt like I was opening a present. I carefully took out the main unit – that wooden panel is just gorgeous. Then I got to the Jukebox… sleek aluminum, it is solid.
Setting it up was… well, let’s just say it took some doing. First, I found a good spot for it in my living room, making sure it was near a power outlet and had decent Wi-Fi reception. I plugged in the power cord, then connected it to my home network. This part was relatively easy, just following the on-screen prompts on my phone using their app. I was ready to add my accounts from Deezer, and also tunein for some radio time. The MoodWheel concept… it is different!.
The tricky part was figuring out all the features. There are so many ways to interact with it! I spent a good hour just playing around with the wooden wheel, tapping and swiping to see what would happen. I discovered that you can use the touch screen to browse your music library, and the wooden wheel to adjust the volume and select different “moods” of music, using that MoodWheel.
- Connecting to Wi-Fi: Pretty straightforward, just like any other smart device.
- Using the App: The BeoMusic app is essential for setup and control. I downloaded it and followed the instructions to pair it with the Moment.
- Exploring the MoodWheel: This is where things got interesting. I experimented with different colors and patterns to see how it affected the music selection.
- Playing Music: Finally, I selected a song and listened to the glorious sound fill the room. Worth it!
It sounds amazing, obviously. It’s Bang & Olufsen, after all. Crystal-clear highs, deep bass, and everything in between. I played some of my favorite tracks, songs that made me really test the sound, and I was blown away. It’s like hearing them for the first time again.
Honestly, there’s still a lot I need to figure out. There are features I haven’t even touched yet. But I’m really happy with it so far. It’s a beautiful piece of technology, and it sounds incredible. It will be a journey to use it more often and find my favorite use case with the MoodWheel.
