Okay, so I’ve been seeing these iPhone camera protectors everywhere, and I finally decided to give one a try. My phone’s camera lens is sticking out, you know, and it makes me nervous. I’m always worried about scratching it when I put my phone down.
First, I looked around online. There are tons of different kinds, it’s kinda crazy! Some are just little squares of film, others are these tempered glass things. I ended up going for a tempered glass one, figured it would be tougher.
Got it in the mail, and the package was tiny! Inside, there were these little protectors, a wet wipe, a dry wipe, and a little dust sticker thing. I was like, “Okay, this looks…involved.”
Installation Time!
- I cleaned my phone’s camera lens really, really well with the wet wipe. Gotta get all that fingerprint gunk off.
- Then I dried it with the dry wipe. Made sure there were no streaks or anything.
- Used that dust sticker to pick up any tiny specks of dust. Seriously, I went over it like five times, I didn’t want ANY dust trapped under there.
- Finally, I peeled off the backing of the protector and carefully, carefully lined it up with the camera lens. This was the stressful part! I had to get it just right.
- Once I had it in place, I pressed down in the middle and watched it kind of “stick” itself to the lens. It was pretty cool to see.
It’s been on for a couple of weeks now, and I have to say, I feel a lot better! I’m not so worried about setting my phone down anymore. Picture quality seems the same, no weird blurring or anything. I tapped it pretty hard once by accident, and not a scratch.
So all and all, a very good protect experience!
