Okay, so I just got my hands on a new iPhone 15 Plus, and the first thing I always do is get a solid case. I’m clumsy, okay? Don’t judge. I went with a Case-Mate this time, mostly because I liked the look of it, and they’ve always seemed pretty durable in the past.
The Unboxing
First step, obviously, was getting the thing out of the box. The Case-Mate packaging was pretty standard—nothing fancy, just a simple cardboard box with the case inside, wrapped in a bit of plastic. I ripped that open pretty quick, excited to see how it actually looked.
Checking It Out
I grabbed the case and my first impression was, “Yeah, this feels sturdy.” It’s not super bulky, which I appreciate, but it definitely feels like it could take a drop or two. I got one that’s clear with some sparkly bits in it – gotta have a little bling, you know? The edges are raised a bit, which is supposed to help protect the screen and the camera if you drop it face down. I’m hoping that’s true, but I’m not about to test it on purpose!
Putting It On
Next up, the moment of truth: putting the case on the phone. Sometimes these things are a real pain to get on, but this one slipped on pretty easily. It’s a snug fit, which is good, no wiggling around. All the buttons are covered, but they’re still easy to press, there are little raised bumps so you can feel them without looking. And the cutouts for the charging port and speakers are all lined up perfectly.
- Easy installation: Snapped right on, no struggle.
- Good button feel: The covered buttons are responsive.
- Perfect cutouts:Everything lines up as it should.
- Looks good good!:the case really fit my phone perfectly.
Living With It
I’ve been using the phone with the case for a few days now, and so far, so good. It doesn’t add too much bulk to the phone, so it still fits in my pocket easily. It’s also not slippery, my old phone case got several scratches because of this, I am glad it won’t happen again. I haven’t dropped it yet (knock on wood), but I feel pretty confident that my phone is well-protected. Overall, I’m happy with it. It does what it’s supposed to do, looks good, and doesn’t cost a fortune. Two thumbs up from me!
