So, I finally got around to putting a privacy screen protector on my iPhone 11. I’d been putting it off, you know how it is, but honestly, it was way easier than I thought it would be.
Getting Started
First, I grabbed the privacy screen protector. Make sure you get one specifically for the iPhone 11, otherwise, it might not fit right. I also made sure I had a clean microfiber cloth and the little squeegee thingy that usually comes with these protectors.
Cleaning is Key
Before I did anything, I really cleaned my phone screen. Like, super cleaned it. Any little speck of dust or lint will show up under the protector and drive you crazy. I used the microfiber cloth and made sure there was absolutely nothing left on the screen.
Putting it On
Next, I carefully peeled off the backing of the privacy screen protector. Usually, there’s a tab to help you with this. Then, I lined it up with the top of my phone screen, making sure the cutouts for the speaker and camera were in the right place. This part is crucial – take your time and get it right.
- Align the protector.
- Slowly lay it down, starting from the top.
- use your fingers to push the protector from the middle to all edges, and make sure every conner stick to the screen.
Once it was aligned, I slowly lowered it onto the screen. I used the squeegee to push out any air bubbles, starting from the center and working my way out to the edges. If you get a stubborn bubble, you can usually lift the protector up a little bit and then squeegee it out again. Sometimes I will just use my fingure to press it from one end to the other end.
The Result
And that’s it! Seriously, it took like five minutes. Now, when I look at my phone from an angle, the screen looks dark. But when I look at it straight on, it’s perfectly clear. It’s pretty cool, and it definitely gives me some peace of mind when I’m using my phone in public.
I’m also happy with it that no bubbles, no dust.
