Okay, so I finally got my hands on the BlueParrott S450-XT headset. I’d heard good things about its noise cancellation, so I was pretty pumped to try it out.
Unboxing and First Impressions
First thing I did was rip open the box, obviously. Inside, there was the headset, a charging cable, some extra ear cushions, and the usual paperwork nobody reads. The headset itself felt pretty solid, not too heavy, but not flimsy either. I liked the over-the-head design, seemed like it would be comfy for long stretches.
Getting it Connected
Pairing it with my phone was the next step. I held down the power button, the little light started blinking, and boom, it showed up on my phone’s Bluetooth list. Tapped it, and we were good to go. Super simple, no messing around with complicated setups.
Testing the Sound
Time for the real test – the sound. I put on some music, and honestly, it was pretty great. Nice and clear, good bass, I could hear all the details. Then I cranked up the volume on my TV to simulate a noisy environment. The headset did a decent job of blocking out the background noise, I could still hear my music without any problems. It wasn’t perfect, but definitely a big improvement over my old earbuds.
Making Some Calls
Next, I called up my buddy. He’s always complaining about background noise when I talk to him, so he’s my perfect guinea pig. We chatted for a bit, and he said he could hear me way better than usual. He could still hear some faint noises in the background, but it wasn’t distracting at all. He said I sounded clear and crisp, which is exactly what I wanted.
Wearing it for a While
I wore the headset for a few hours straight, just to see how comfortable it was. The ear cushions were soft, and the headband didn’t squeeze my head too tight. I almost forgot I was wearing it a couple of times. My ears did get a little warm after a while, but that’s pretty normal with over-ear headphones.
The Verdict
- Pros: Great sound quality, awesome noise cancellation, comfortable to wear, easy to connect.
- Cons: Got a little warm after extended use, but that is to be expected.
Overall, I’m really digging this BlueParrott S450-XT. It’s a solid headset that does what it’s supposed to do. If you’re looking for something to block out noise and make clear calls, this is definitely worth checking out. It’s made a real difference for me, and I think I’ll use it as a primary heasphones.
