Okay, so I’ve been getting this question a lot: “Can you use fuboTV in two different locations?” I finally decided to put it to the test myself, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. Here’s how it all went down.
The Setup
First things first, I have a regular fuboTV subscription. I primarily use it at home, you know, on my smart TV in the living room. My goal was simple: Could I also use my account at my buddy’s place, where we watch games sometimes?
The First Attempt
I packed my stuff and prepared to go to my buddy’s place to watch the game. My buddy, lives a few towns over, so it’s definitely a different location.
I logged into my fuboTV account on his smart TV. Typed in my username and password, hit enter, and…BAM! It worked!
I can tell you that on the same account and different locations, We successfully log in.
The Experiment Continues
Next up, I decided, Let’s try something different. I tried to change my home’s location. I switched the home location to my friend’s ZIP code, and all seems fine. So, my home base is now set as my friend’s house on my fuboTV.
And I use my mobile phone that is still at my real home, and it’s my actual first home. I log into my fuboTV account on my mobile phone. It shows something like:”you seem out of the home location, change home location?”.
That means I can only watch TV in one home location if I don’t want to change my home location. So,I change my home location back to my real first home’s ZIP code.
What I Learned
Here’s the gist of what I found out:
- Simultaneous Streams: You can’t use fuboTV’s base plan on two locations at the same time.
- Changing “Home”: You can easily change your “home” location, but there might be a limit on how often you can do this. It’s not something you want to do every other day.
So, can you use fuboTV in two different locations? The basic answer is yes, but not at the same time and not always smoothly, from my experience.
