Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get some dome window well covers for a while now. My old ones were, well, let’s just say they’d seen better days. Cracked, cloudy, and basically useless. So, I finally decided to tackle this project.
First, I measured my window wells. Gotta get the right size, right? I used a tape measure and jotted down the width and length of each well. Pretty straightforward stuff.
Then came the fun part – shopping! I looked around at different stores. I wanted something durable, something that could stand up to the weather, you know? And I definitely wanted the dome shape for extra strength.
I finally found some that looked perfect. I picked them * they werent too heavy.
The Installation
Getting them installed was actually easier than I thought.
- First I cleaned out the window wells. Got rid of all the leaves, dirt, and whatever else had accumulated in there.
- And I placed my new dome covers to the wells.
The covers fitted to wells perfectly!
Seriously, it took maybe 10 minutes per window. I’m pretty happy with how it all turned out. The new covers look great, and I feel a lot better knowing my window wells are protected. No more worrying about rain, snow, or critters getting in there!
This was one of those home improvement projects that was totally worth the effort. If your window well covers are looking rough, I definitely recommend replacing them. It’s a relatively easy and inexpensive way to protect your home.
