Okay, so the other day, my kids were bored out of their minds, and I remembered we had this “Eye Found It!” game tucked away in the closet. I vaguely remembered playing it once, but the instructions? Totally blanked. So, I figured, “Let’s figure this out together!” Here’s how it went down:
The Great Instruction Hunt
First things first, I dug out the game box. Inside, we found the game board (which is HUGE, by the way), a bunch of cards, some playing pieces, and, thankfully, the instruction booklet. It was a little crumpled, but hey, it was there!
Decoding the Rules
We sat down at the table and I started reading the instructions. Honestly, they seemed a bit confusing at first. There’s this whole thing about a clock and different colored spaces, and I was like, “Huh?” But we kept at it. I read them aloud, and the kids tried to follow along.
- We figured out that you spin the spinner and move your piece that many spaces.
- Then, you draw a card and try to find the object on the card somewhere on the giant game board.
- If you find it, you yell, “Eye Found It!” (which, let me tell you, gets pretty loud with excited kids).
- There is more to it than that. But at the end we realized that it doesn’t really matter who wins.
Putting It All Together
After a few rounds of trial and error, we finally got the hang of it. We took turns spinning and searching, and it actually became really fun! The kids were super focused on finding the tiny pictures, and I was surprised at how challenging it was even for me.
The Verdict
It took some effort to understand the instructions, but once we did, “Eye Found It!” turned out to be a great way to spend an afternoon. We laughed a lot, worked together, and the kids were happily entertained (which is always a win!). I’d definitely recommend giving it a try, just be prepared to spend a little time deciphering the rules at the beginning!
