Okay, so, my Fitbit screen went totally black. Like, one minute it was working, and the next, nothing. Super annoying, right? I figured I’d share what I did to fix it, ’cause it might help someone else out there.
My Fitbit Rescue Mission
First thing I did was the classic – I tried charging it. I mean, duh, maybe the battery just died, even though I thought I’d charged it recently. I plugged it in, and… nothing. Still a black screen. I left it for a bit, just in case it needed some extra juice, but nope, still dead.
Next up, I tried a restart. My model has buttons on it, So I held down the button for like, 10 seconds, maybe a bit longer. Still a black screen of doom. Starting to get a little worried now.
I searched buttons for restarting my fitbit model, then followed.
- Made sure my fitbit was plugged into the charging cable.
- Find the button on my fitbit.
- Pressed and hold the button for around 10-15 seconds.
- Felt for a vibration or see the Fitbit logo, which means it’s restarting.
- Felt the vibration! And then, bam, the screen lit up! It was back!
Seriously, it was such a relief. I don’t know why it went black in the first place, but the restart did the trick. I guess it’s like any other gadget – sometimes it just needs a good old * that hadn’t worked, I probably would’ve contacted Fitbit support. But thankfully, I didn’t have to go down that road.
So, yeah, that’s my Fitbit black screen story. Hope this helps someone!
