Alright, folks, let’s dive into my little experiment with AI voice generators, specifically focusing on creating an American Indian voice. I’ve been messing around with these tools lately, and I thought this would be a fun project to try and document.
Getting Started
First, I needed to find some decent AI voice generators. I’ve tested a few of them. Some were okay, some were, well, not so great. I wanted something with a good range of voices and, ideally, some customization options.
The Experiment Begins
I started by typing in a simple phrase, I don’t have good text to try to generate something sounds. I’ve tried a bunch of different settings. Some of the voices sounded super robotic, not at all what I was going for. I kept tweaking, trying different combinations of settings, I mean a lot. It felt like a lot of clicking and listening, and repeat.
Finding a Decent Voice
After a good hour, maybe more,I finally stumbled upon a voice that sounded a little less “Siri-like.” It still wasn’t perfect, mind you, but it had a bit more of a natural tone. I played around with the pitch and speed controls, trying to get it to sound more, human. I used to think, the deep voice is the key point!
Adding Some “Character”
This is where things got tricky. I wanted the voice to have a certain, feel, I guess you could say. I messed around with pronunciation of some words, I’m no expert, but I do want it sounds right. It’s like a puzzle, so I have to try the word pronunciation many times.
The Results (So Far)
Okay, so it’s not going to fool anyone into thinking it’s a real person speaking. But, it’s definitely better than where I started. I’ve generated the voice! It has a distinct sound, and with a bit more work, I think I could get it even closer to what I’m imagining. It’s still a work in progress, and I’ll probably keep playing with it.
My Overall Thoughts
This whole AI voice thing is pretty wild. It’s not perfect, not yet, but it’s getting there. It’s fun to mess around with, and you can definitely create some unique stuff. I’m looking forward to my next step!
