Alright, so the other day, I wanted to watch some live sports on fuboTV, and it was driving me nuts. The stream kept buffering every few minutes. It was super annoying, so I decided to figure out what the heck was going on.
Started with the Basics
First, I checked my internet speed. I used one of those online speed test things. Turns out my download speed was pretty good, like 50 Mbps. So, the internet speed itself wasn’t the main issue.
Looked at My Devices
Then, I thought maybe it was my device. I was watching on my old laptop. I tried switching to my phone to see if that made a difference. Nope, still buffering. So, it wasn’t just my laptop.
Checked the Wi-Fi Signal
Next, I checked the Wi-Fi signal. Maybe my router was too far away or something. I moved closer to the router, and the signal got stronger, but the buffering was still there. Ugh.
Tried a Wired Connection
I remembered someone telling me that wired connections are more stable. So, I grabbed an Ethernet cable and plugged my laptop directly into the router. Boom! The buffering stopped. That was it!
What I Learned
- Wi-Fi can be finicky: Even with a good signal, it can still cause buffering.
- Wired connections are better for streaming: If you’re serious about watching without interruptions, go wired.
- It’s often a process of elimination: You gotta try different things to figure out what’s causing the problem.
So, yeah, if you’re having buffering issues with fuboTV, try a wired connection. It worked like a charm for me. Hopefully, this little experiment of mine helps someone else out there. It is really a headache when you are watching something important and exciting!
