Okay, so I’ve been meaning to dig up the specs of my old Galaxy S5 Mini. It’s been sitting in a drawer for ages, and I figured, why not document everything about it? It’s kinda fun to look back at older tech.
First, I grabbed the phone and charged it up. Surprisingly, the battery still held a charge! After it booted up (which took a little while, I’ll admit), I went straight to the settings menu.
Basic Info
- Model Number: I found this right at the top. Mine is SM-G800F, I think there are a few variants.
- Android Version: It’s running Android, and I think it is upgraded to 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). Not bad for an old-timer!
Digging Deeper
Then I started poking around for more detailed specs. I remembered there’s an “About Phone” section, usually at the bottom of the settings.
- Display: 4.5 inches. Feels tiny compared to today’s phones! It’s a Super AMOLED, so the colors still look pretty vibrant. The resolution says 720 x 1280 pixels.
- Processor: It is Exynos 3 Quad 3470, Clock speed:1.4 * is slow by today’s standards.
- RAM:1.5 GB, Man, that’s not a lot of memory.
- Storage: 16 GB * I use a micro SD card!
- Camera: Main camera is 8 MP, and the front one is 2.1 MP.
- Battery: 2100 mAh, removable. You don’t see that much anymore!
Other Stuff
I also checked for some other features that were a big deal back then:
- Water Resistance: It is IP67 certified, which is water resistance.
- Heart Rate Sensor: Yep, it’s got one built into the back, next to the camera flash.
- Fingerprint Scanner: It is on the home button.
It is everything. I spent a good hour just messing around with the phone and jotting down all these details. It is fun!
