Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get back into handwriting for a while now. I used to love writing in notebooks, but I kinda fell out of the habit. So, I decided to start a new “handwriting notebook” project. Here’s how it went:
Getting Started
First, I needed a notebook. I didn’t want anything fancy, just something simple and practical. I found a plain, spiral-bound notebook at the local store, and it was perfect. I also grabbed a few of my favorite pens – a black gel pen and a blue ballpoint. Gotta have options, right?
The First Entry
I sat down at my desk, opened the notebook, and… blank page. It’s always a little intimidating, that first blank page. I decided to just start with the date and a simple “Hello, notebook!” It felt kinda silly, but it got the ball rolling.
Finding My Flow
Then I started writing about my day. Nothing special, just what I did, what I was thinking about, stuff like that. At first, my hand felt a little clumsy, like I was relearning how to write. But after a few sentences, it started to feel more natural. The pen glided across the paper, and the words just flowed out.
Experimenting with Styles
I tried a few different things. I wrote some sentences in cursive, just to see if I still remembered how. (I mostly did!) I also doodled a little bit in the margins, just some simple shapes and patterns. It was fun to play around and not worry about being perfect.
- First Choose the right Tools.
- Second I tried to find the flow.
- Third Just write sth down and see what will happen.
Keeping it Going
I’ve been keeping up with the notebook for a few days now. I don’t write in it every single day, but I try to at least jot down a few notes a couple of times a week. It’s been a really nice way to slow down, clear my head, and just connect with my thoughts in a different way.
It’s not about being perfect or creating some amazing piece of literature. It’s just about the process of writing, the feeling of the pen on the paper, and the simple act of putting my thoughts into words. And honestly, it’s been pretty awesome.
