Okay, so the other day I wanted to kick back and watch something on HBO Max on my Fire TV, but it just wouldn’t work. Here’s how I tackled the problem:
First, I tried the classic “turn it off and on again” trick. I restarted my Fire TV. You know, the basic stuff.
- I went to the settings.
- Then I found the “Restart” option.
But nope, HBO Max still gave me a black screen. Darn!
Moving on to Clear the Cache.
Then I thought, maybe the app is clogged up. So I went to clear the cache and data for the HBO Max app.
- Went back into settings.
- Headed over to “Applications”.
- Then to “Manage Installed Applications.”
- I found HBO Max in the list.
- First I selected “Clear Cache,”.
Still nothing! HBO Max was Being Stubborn! I Cleared data,It’s kinda like a deeper clean.
Trying to Reinstall.
Since clearing didn’t work, I figured a fresh start was needed. I uninstalled the HBO Max app.
- same drill in the settings, to uninstall.
After it was gone, I reinstalled it from the Appstore. Hoping the app would work after reinstall.
Finally, after the reinstall, HBO Max was back in action! I could finally watch my show. It was a bit of a hassle, but sometimes these things just need a little nudge…or a few nudges, in this * it happens again, I’ll know what to do!
