Okay, so I wanted to connect my headphones to a 3.5 mm jack, and I realized the connector on my headphones wasn’t the right size. I figured I needed some kind of adapter to make it work.
First, I checked my headphones. Yep, they had a bigger jack, probably a 6.35 mm one. Then I looked at the device I wanted to plug into – my phone, in this case. It definitely had a smaller, 3.5 mm port. So, I definitely needed an adapter to bridge that gap.
I went online and searched for “headphone jack adapter 6.35mm to 3.5mm”. There were tons of options, but they all looked pretty similar. I just picked one that had decent reviews and wasn’t too expensive.
When the adapter arrived, I unboxed it. It was a simple little thing – one end was a female 6.35 mm jack, and the other was a male 3.5 mm plug. I plugged the big end of the adapter into my headphones, and then I plugged the smaller 3.5 mm end into my phone.
- Tried playing some music.
- Heard the sound loud and clear through my headphones!
What did I get?
It worked perfectly! Problem solved. Now I can use my headphones with my phone, no problem. It was a really simple fix, and the adapter was cheap, so I’m pretty happy with how it all turned out.
